Digital Marketing Expert at Openspot

We’re looking for an experienced digital marketer to help us launch a better kind of ecommerce platform. We’re on a mission to make things fairer, more transparent and decentralised – with a particular focus on supporting local makers and building valuable communities.

To help our launch we’re looking for someone who can both advise and implement the best strategies for our early stage with a vision to grow fast. Through challenging media/channels, setting up tracking and implementing tests so we can learn together.

To start this would be on a freelance basis but with a more permanent position certainly on our minds in the future.

Digital Marketing Job Responsibilities:

Advises on overall plan and strategy according to targets
Plans and executes all web paid marketing and ideally supports in other digital channel activities.
Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence (in partnership with the team).
Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.
Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
Collaborates with agencies and other vendor partners.
Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
We are open to flexible working hours and remote work. As a freelance role it’s about defining goals and strategies and aligning together the right process and effort. We are seeking someone proactive who can take charge of DM – fitting in to an experienced team across the roles.

It’s a bonus if you’re in Berlin to interact with the majority of the team and where we are launching first.

Qualifications / Skills:

Proven working experience in digital marketing
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines and social channels
Working knowledge of ad serving tools
Self-motivated yet customer-focused
Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
