Ledger Nano X - The secure hardware wallet

Is trezor the only company with no history of remote attacks on their HW

Just to be clear, rolling your own dice is no guarantee that you’re safe.

You still need good software to use that secret so it’s not leaked to your OS or the blockchain.

E.g nonce reuse

https://publications.cispa.de/articles/conference_contribution/Identifying_Key_Leakage_of_Bitcoin_Users/24612726?file=43247154

Up to 400 BTC was vulnerable on the blockchain…

Recently i found a remote attack against the ledger (not Bitcoin) https://donjon.ledger.com/lsb/022/

Which can leak your private key if the OS has been compromised due to a vulnerability in a ledger app… Which i consider a remote attack from the OS.

Software development practices are important when choosing a hardware wallet, which is responsible for using your PK safely and not leaking it…

I don’t recommend people continuing to use coldcard. Cowboy coding and crypto don’t mix….
