I really believe gifting Bitcoin to friends and family is one of the most beautiful ways to introduce them to this space.
When I wanted to gift some sats to my niece recently, I thought about the physical aspect of gifting. I wanted something they could hold in their hands, but generated with strict security.
There are already great ways to do this, but I wanted to add another option to the table. I’ve been working on an open-source, air-gapped minimal Linux system (SignerOS) for offline wallet creation. I designed a specific “Gift Wallet” page for it:
https://signeros.github.io/signeros/gift_wallet.html
The concept is simple: Boot into an offline environment, generate the seed safely, write it down on the template, and fund the public address. It gives them a physical paper wallet that was born completely offline.
I just wanted to share this with the community for anyone who likes creating physical paper wallets for their loved ones. Would love to hear what you think!
