Ripple Prime, the institutional brokerage division of Ripple, has unveiled a delta one trading operation that provides institutional investors access to US equities, market indexes, and cryptocurrency assets through a unified platform.

The platform enables clients to trade total return swaps, providing full economic exposure to underlying assets without requiring direct ownership. The service specifically targets hedge funds, institutional asset managers, ETF creators, and professional market makers.

Understanding the Delta One Platform

Delta one instruments replicate asset returns precisely without necessitating physical ownership. Ripple Prime’s offering encompasses US-listed stocks, major equity indexes, and cryptocurrency assets within a single operational framework.

The platform allows institutions to cross-margin their positions spanning multiple asset categories with continuous, round-the-clock market access. This 24/7 availability aligns traditional financial instruments with the perpetual trading infrastructure characteristic of digital asset markets.

According to Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, the launch represents a logical progression for the platform. He noted that institutional clients have consistently requested consolidated cross-asset access through a single counterparty relationship.

The company emphasizes that its operations focus exclusively on clearing and financing services, deliberately separating delta one activities from market-making or proprietary trading operations. Ripple maintains this organizational structure minimizes potential conflicts of interest when serving institutional clientele.

Capital Structure and Financial Resources

Ripple Prime successfully completed a $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes in early May. Additionally, the firm arranged a $200 million debt facility through funds administered by Neuberger Specialty Finance earlier this year.

The brokerage currently maintains regulatory net capital exceeding $1 billion. Kimmel indicated these resources will fund expansion of personnel and technological infrastructure.

Ripple Prime emerged from Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road, finalized in 2025. This transaction provided Ripple with an operational institutional prime brokerage serving both conventional and cryptocurrency markets.

The delta one initiative advances this strategic direction deeper into traditional financial services. Ripple’s broader vision encompasses connecting conventional finance with digital assets on an integrated platform, complementing its initiatives around Ripple National Trust Bank.

XRP Market Performance and ETF Activity

XRP advanced nearly 5% during the 24-hour period after the announcement, with prices reaching $1.43. Trading volume expanded 8% across the same timeframe.

Spot XRP exchange-traded funds registered $28.14 million in net inflows on Wednesday. Bitwise, Franklin, and Canary-sponsored ETFs dominated these capital flows, representing the most robust single-day inflow performance in more than seven months.

Open interest in XRP futures contracts climbed to $3.50 billion across exchanges including CME and Binance. Derivatives market participants maintain a measured stance approaching the monthly options expiration cycle.
