Key Highlights
- Shares of QTREX Quantum (NASDAQ:QTEX) surged approximately 14% Friday after the company disclosed breakthrough testing results.
- Independent validation demonstrated the firm’s cryogenic interconnect delivered over 100 decibels of channel isolation at temperatures of 20 millikelvin.
- Performance exceeded leading flexible cable solutions by more than 60 decibels, with no crosstalk detected during testing.
- The company is working toward a binding commercial agreement with its testing partner, expecting disclosure within weeks.
- QTREX anticipates securing additional quantum industry agreements before the close of 2026.
Shares of QTREX Quantum experienced significant upward momentum Friday morning. The stock advanced as much as 14% during premarket activity, trading around $0.88 per share.
The rally came after a Thursday announcement revealing independent test data for the company’s cryogenic interconnect platform. A quantum computing organization conducted the evaluation.
Evaluation protocols took place at 20 millikelvin, representing the extremely low temperatures required for quantum computing operations. The interconnect demonstrated channel isolation surpassing 100 decibels within the 4 to 8 gigahertz qubit frequency range.
This performance metric outperforms industry-leading flexible cable technology by over 60 decibels. According to the company, testing revealed zero measurable crosstalk between signal channels.
Performance Validation Results
The company reported that its interconnect solution also exhibited phase-matched channel behavior, minimal insertion loss, and consistent performance throughout multiple thermal cycling and mechanical bending tests. The company noted that impedance consistency matched that of precision-machined coaxial cables.
The platform relies on what QTREX refers to as Additively Manufactured Electronics. The system is fabricated as an integrated monolithic component instead of being assembled from discrete elements.
According to QTREX, this engineering approach addresses the wiring density challenges and thermal management issues that have prevented quantum processors from scaling beyond several hundred qubits. The firm claims its technology could enable systems operating with up to one million qubits.
Chief Executive Officer Dagi Ben-Noon characterized the testing conditions as among the most demanding in the computing industry. He noted that the customer utilized its proprietary cryogenic infrastructure, measurement equipment, and benchmark cables throughout the assessment.
“We view 60 decibels more isolation than the leading flexible cabling on the market as not an improvement but a different category,” Ben-Noon said.
Commercial Agreement in Progress
Based on the validation outcomes, QTREX indicated it is currently negotiating a binding definitive commercial arrangement with the testing organization. Complete commercial terms are anticipated to be disclosed in the coming weeks.
The firm also indicated it expects to announce additional fourth-quarter partnerships within the quantum computing sector. Information regarding contract value or pricing structure was not disclosed.
Headquartered in Ness Ziona, Israel, QTREX trades on the Nasdaq exchange. The company maintains operations across defense, aerospace, and space technology sectors, in addition to a legacy medical device portfolio it plans to divest.
Despite Friday’s price increase, the longer-term outlook for QTREX stock remains uncertain. TipRanks’ AI-powered analytical tool, Spark, assigns the equity a Neutral rating.
This assessment reflects inconsistent financial performance, including volatile revenue patterns and continued negative cash flow. Technical indicators similarly suggest a downward trend, with shares trading beneath key moving averages.
The company currently holds a market capitalization of approximately $45.72 million. Daily trading volume averages around 2.69 million shares.
The company does not pay a dividend, and its price-to-earnings ratio is negative due to ongoing losses. For the moment, Friday’s price movement is directly attributable to the testing announcement and the forthcoming commercial agreement.
