Regarding the ledger, the hack is from tampered device which sold by shady resellers, always buy from the official site or from the authorized reseller. Always check the reseller from the cold wallet official website, if its not listed as authorized, do not buy it.
This could’ve been avoided if the victim bought the device from the official site. The company regarded need to also do crosscheck whether if there’s some actor buying in bulk to resell.
