KuCoin Introduces 5.0 Platform Upgrade With Unified Trading, AI Tools and Improved Asset Management

Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin has introduced KuCoin 5.0, a platform-wide upgrade that brings changes to its trading infrastructure, account management, artificial intelligence capabilities and user experience.

Announced on October 9, 2026, the upgrade is part of KuCoin’s broader “Trust, Built-in.” initiative, which aims to integrate security, transparency and operational efficiency into the platform’s services.

Rather than focusing on individual features, KuCoin 5.0 introduces improvements across six areas: Compliance, Technology, Assets, Experience, AI and Wealth Management. The update includes a Unified Trading Account (UTA), expanded AI assistance, redesigned account management tools and additional options for managing assets across trading and earning products.

Unified Trading Account Simplifies Capital Management

One of the main additions is the Unified Trading Account, available to eligible users at VIP1 and above. The system combines spot, margin and futures trading within a shared framework for managing funds, collateral and risk.

Previously separate account functions can now operate within a more integrated structure, reducing the need for users to transfer assets between trading accounts. The change is intended to improve capital efficiency and simplify portfolio management across supported products.

KuCoin has also expanded the connection between trading and wealth management services. Eligible users can access selected Earn products through sub-accounts, while supported wealth management assets can be incorporated into the UTA framework.

The upgrade also allows KCUSD to be used as margin within the Unified Trading Account, providing an additional way to manage funds between earning and trading activities. VIP users will have access to exclusive wealth management products and benefits.

AI Assistant Expands Across Trading and Platform Services

KuCoin 5.0 introduces an upgraded AI Assistant 5.x, designed to provide a centralized interface for accessing information, navigating services and completing tasks.

The assistant covers several areas of the platform, including market analysis, trading, Earn products, customer support and promotional campaigns.

By incorporating page context and user activity, the system can identify relevant services, respond to questions and assist with platform-related tasks. The integration is intended to reduce the number of steps required to navigate different functions and access information.

Redesigned Interface and Accessibility Improvements

The update also includes changes to KuCoin’s interface and account management features.

Profile Center 2.0 introduces a card-based layout that organizes account information and frequently used functions. The revised sub-account system simplifies account creation and management while adding security controls.

Trading tools have also been updated, with enhanced K-line charts offering real-time market data and settings that synchronize across devices.

KuCoin has introduced a color vision accessibility mode to help users with color vision deficiencies distinguish information displayed in charts and other visual elements. According to the company, approximately 360 million people worldwide experience some form of difficulty distinguishing colors.

The platform will continue to offer Lite and Pro interfaces, providing different experiences based on users’ familiarity with cryptocurrency trading and their individual requirements.

Broader Focus on Platform Infrastructure

Beyond the visible product changes, KuCoin 5.0 includes continued development of the exchange’s compliance, technology and asset infrastructure.

These improvements support the company’s effort to bring trading, wealth management and AI-powered services into a more connected platform while maintaining different levels of functionality for retail and advanced users.

“Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin. “KuCoin 5.0 is an important step in translating our long-term commitment to trust into the product itself. By bringing our core capabilities into a more connected, intuitive and intelligent platform, we are giving users greater confidence and control today while building the foundation for the next stage of digital finance.”

The launch represents the latest stage in KuCoin’s platform development, with a focus on consolidating trading functions, expanding automated assistance and improving how users access and manage digital assets.

Through KuCoin 5.0, the exchange is seeking to establish a more integrated operating framework for its existing services while supporting future developments in digital asset trading and financial management.
