Currently priced at $1.38, XRP has experienced a 2.46% decline in the past 24 hours. This downturn has brought the cryptocurrency to a crucial technical threshold—the 200-week exponential moving average (EMA) positioned at $1.37.
Market observers indicate that a breakdown beneath this threshold could trigger a longer-term bearish trajectory. Should the decline persist, the subsequent support zone is located at the 20-week EMA around $1.27.
The Relative Strength Index stands at 51, offering bulls a marginal advantage. Nevertheless, the RSI trajectory is declining, indicating potential erosion of buying momentum.
Contributing to the downward pressure are traders who entered positions around the $1.00 mark and liquidated after the rally to $1.66. These profit realization activities are creating near-term resistance for the asset.
While price action shows weakness, institutional interest through XRP ETFs continues strengthening. Data from SoSoValue indicates that August 28 alone witnessed $26.20 million flowing into XRP ETFs.
The ETF products have maintained positive inflows for nine consecutive sessions. Between August 24 and August 28, cumulative weekly inflows reached $110.49 million—representing the strongest weekly performance recorded since December 2025.
Leading ETF Providers and Aggregate Holdings
Bitwise captured the lion’s share of weekly inflows with $59.95 million, while Franklin Templeton secured second place with $28.7 million. The five XRP ETFs trading on US exchanges collectively manage $1.44 billion in net assets, representing 1.66% of XRP’s total $87.43 billion market capitalization.
Technical analyst EGRAG CRYPTO shared insights on X highlighting XRP’s approach toward its ascending 300-week moving average near $1.03. According to EGRAG, historical patterns show that successfully retesting and maintaining this level typically precedes accumulation phases. Should XRP defend the 300-week MA, the analyst projects initial targets at $1.65, followed by $2.00–$2.80, with speculative long-range targets extending to $15, $27, and $50.
Blockchain analytics from BankXRP demonstrate receiving addresses expanding to 926,320, accompanied by increased transactions per second metrics. These indicators suggest heightened network engagement, though market watchers acknowledge uncertainty regarding the underlying catalysts and sustainability of this trend.
