BTC & Macro Importance

BTC & Macro Importance

There’s one thing I don’t really ever see talked about when it comes to BTC, and it’s macro. It doesn’t seem to be discussed about anywhere near enough.

I see talks about:
• 4 year cycles
• MA20/50/100/200
• RSI
• 2026 highs and lows
• Price ranges and resistance levels

And they’re all extremely important. But I don’t think enough investors quite understand the relevance of:
• DXY
• US10Y
• Oil futures

Of all 3 macro factors, DXY is easily the most important when it comes to crypto. US10Y and oil futures are much more important when it comes to high growth tech stocks.

Have a look at this large red candle wick where BTC went from $81.3k and went down by -2%. This happened at the exact same time that DXY had immediately risen when some data came out about stronger than expected jobs / a big US payroll increase.

So this is essentially just a reminder that all the other factors I see talked about are crucial, but don’t forget to factor in macroeconomics, it plays a major role in either potentially helping crypto or halting its momentum, but it also doesn’t mean it controls it. When we saw its massive surge from $64k to $79k or so in just one day (18th August 2026), DXY dropped -0.81% that day (which is an enormous move).

Happy Friday boys 🫶🏼
