Earlier I tried to make an advanced payment to my mortgage in order to eat a bit on the capital and reduce interest… Nothing crazy, just the occasional capital debt DCA. I tried to pay USD$1,500 (I was actually going to advance $4,500 but you have to do it in 3 payments as $1,500 at a time is the most they allow) and my digital card got blocked… This is the second time in as many months I have had to call my bank for them to allow me to use my money. And before the insufferable fiat crowd defends the bank saying “yOu WoUlD tHaNk ThEm If It WaS aN aCtUaL fRaUd. BTC dOeSn’T hAvE tHaT”, I was moving the money through my bank app, which the bank asked me to access to prove I was me and allow me to use my money. So it’s not a security measure if your “safety protocol” includes accessing the same app you tried to use to make the payment, it’s a control mechanism. Because that’s just stupid, it’s like asking a thief to show the wallet they took the money from but not asking to see an ID. So now I’m going to leave my account with the bare minimum for an emergency fund, and use the rest to DCA both my mortgage and more BTC. Fuckers won’t get more interests by loaning my money while I only get inconvenienced for giving them the privilege to manage it
