Best Crypto Trading Bot in 2026: 6 Tests for Copy Trading, Exits and Fees, and How Banana Gun Scores

Judge a crypto trading bot on six tests: copy trading filters, exits, fees, chains, default protections and where you trade. Banana Gun, a Telegram trading bot, passes most of them, with real gaps on fee level and interface. Photon, Axiom and Fomo each cover part of the list.

A landing-page feature list does not show how a bot behaves when you need it. A fixed set of tests works better, because you can apply it to any bot before you fund it.

Every claim below comes from Banana Gun’s site and docs or from a named third-party source, with the source in the sentence. Banana Gun’s own comparison of the best Solana trading bots covers the Solana-only angle.

What are the 6 tests?

  1. Copy trading filters: can you cap trade size, cap market cap and stop buying the same token twice?
  2. Exits: can the bot sell for you at a target or on a trailing stop?
  3. Fees: what does each trade cost, and on which chains?
  4. Chains: does the bot cover the networks you trade?
  5. Default protections: what runs on every trade without you switching it on?
  6. Where you trade: a Telegram trading bot, a web terminal or an app?

Tests 1 and 2: copy trading and exits

The Telegram trading bot runs copy trading from /copytrade: “New Copy Trade”, a target address, your wallets, then sizing. Buy Fixed, Buy Percent and Max Buy set the size, and Copy Sells decides whether you sell when the target sells.

Advanced Settings add Max Market Cap, Tax Limit, Buy Only Once and Spending Limit. A Max Market Cap of $500K, the docs example, means a buy at $600K does not copy, which also skips that wallet’s larger winners.

Exits live in “Setup Sell Limit Order”. You set Tokens as a percentage, choose Take Profit or Stop Loss, and trigger on Market Cap or Token Price. Trailing Stop Loss raises the trigger as price makes new highs.

Axiompedia (2026) describes Axiom as a Solana trading terminal with a built-in copy trading feature. The solanatools.io and DEXTools tutorials (2026) say Photon has take-profit and stop-loss auto-sells, but sources disagree on whether it copies wallets automatically.

Fomo, a self-custodial social trading app, publishes its own guidance on exits.

Its copy trading guide (1 February 2026) and risk guide (25 December 2025) describe exits as notifications plus levels you hold in your head; neither describes a take profit or stop loss order attached to a copied position.

Test 3: what does a crypto trading bot cost?

According to Banana Gun, fees are 0.5% on Ethereum manual buys and limit orders, and 1% on other chains, Solana included.

The solanatools.io and DEXTools tutorials (2026) put Photon at 1% per trade on buys and sells, with no subscription. Axiompedia (2026) lists a 1% base fee for Axiom, with SOL cashback tiers that bring the net fee to 0.75% at the top tier.

On Solana the base fee lands at 1% for all three, and only Axiom’s top cashback tier goes lower. Fees add up with trade count, so check the rate against how often you trade.

Tests 4 and 5: chains and default protections

bananagun.io lists eight networks, among them Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Robinhood Chain, Stable and HyperEVM. Photon and Axiom are Solana terminals according to their sources, and Axiompedia adds perpetuals routed to Hyperliquid. Fomo describes itself as “multichain & gasless”.

On Robinhood Chain, Banana Gun also trades meme coins quoted against Robinhood tokenized stocks.

Banana Gun runs a pre-trade sell check that blocks tokens you cannot sell, before the buy. Anti-MEV is on by default through private transactions, and on Solana it goes through Jito.

Anti-Rug has a documented 80 to 85 percent success rate on the scenarios it targets. A sell check is not a rug check: a token you can sell today can still have its liquidity pulled tomorrow.

Test 6: Telegram trading bot or web terminal?

Banana Gun is the Telegram bot, so orders, positions and copy trades live in a chat. Banana Gun Pro is the separate web trading terminal, with wallet tracking, DCA, multicharts and customizable layouts.

Photon is a web terminal per solanatools.io, and Fomo is an app. Pick the surface you will actually open on a bad day.

Where Banana Gun scores lower

The chat interface is not for everyone. If you want charts and a point-and-click layout, Banana Gun Pro or a web terminal fits better.

On Solana, 1% is not the lowest fee listed, since Axiompedia puts Axiom’s net fee at 0.75% at its top cashback tier.

A good bot also cannot rescue a bad wallet. On GMGN’s 30-day data, pulled 8 Oct 2026, point farm capital (Beqv6dzTcjV2eodo8RRXCiCcnSYrS1vkQKhfqwHXqeit) placed 21,179 buys and realized -$303,240, a pace no human copy setup can follow.

TheSolstice (4ugDhHJ8XDXAeABmrNmGffFaLbJb9BkPyiFGVSV9ocwo) realized +$195,722 over 30 days and -$43,525 over the last 7. Copies also land after the copied trade, so your fill is worse than the wallet’s.

A take-profit that is never reached never sells, so decide your Stop Loss choice in Setup Sell Limit Order before you buy.
