I recently started using River and received around $6,000 through direct deposit.
I was able to withdraw $2,000 worth of BTC to my cold wallet without any issues. However, when I tried to withdraw the remaining $4,000, I had already reached my withdrawal limit because of ForceField.
So I requested to deactivate ForceField and waited for the required period. Everything seemed fine until there were only 2 days left before the deactivation was supposed to be completed.
Out of nowhere, I received a notification saying that River had decided to close my account.
I’m really confused. I was simply trying to withdraw my own Bitcoin to my cold wallet. I don’t understand why they would allow me to deposit funds and make an initial withdrawal, only to close my account while I was waiting for ForceField to be disabled.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with River? Is requesting to deactivate ForceField somehow triggering account closures?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through this.
